Can you request product samples before placing an order?

Yes, you can request samples of our products, and we encourage it, especially for first-time orders. Samples are typically provided annealed unless you ask for something else. Standard sample sizes are usually 12" x 12". Special sizes and special-order materials may carry a nominal charge, which is credited back when you place your order!

What lead time should you expect for your order?

We usually keep lead times to 4 to 6 weeks. Some custom or specially ordered products may take longer because they require extra fabrication steps. We’ll confirm your lead time when you place your order!

How long is the warranty on your insulated glass units?

Accepted Answer

Our insulated glass units carry a 10-year warranty against seal failure. We stand behind our glass products. For full warranty details, check the Warranty page on our website!

What payment options do you accept for orders?

Accepted Answer

You can pay with MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover for a 3% fee. You can also pay by wire transfer or ACH. If you prefer, you can send a check. Contact us and we’ll give you the details you need!

How many types of Low-E coatings do you provide?

Accepted Answer

There are many types of Low-E coatings available and we stock or have access to most of them. There are different Low-E coatings for different applications that vary with building location and orientation.

Upon request, we will provide a Performance calculator that will demonstrate how well a particular Low-E coating will perform on your project.

What sizes and color spacer & muntin bars do you carry?

Tower has one of the largest selections of spacer & muntin bar sizes and colors in the United States.  We also custom make muntin bars in practically any shape or color required.

What is a “sight-line”?

Accepted Answer

The sight line is the area around the perimeter of an insulated unit where the spacers, sealants, and desiccant are found. This is where two or more lites of glass are hermetically sealed together.

Tower’s standard sight-line dimension is 7/16” and can be made as narrow as 5/16” depending on size and other factors. Sight-lines can also be made larger at additional cost.

What is the process for submitting an order?

Accepted Answer

Submit your order in writing. We do not accept telephone orders. After you place your order, we send an order confirmation for you to carefully review for accuracy, sign, and return. If you do not yet have an account with us, we will share the payment terms when we receive your signed order confirmation.

What information should I include when requesting a quote?

Accepted Answer

Please include the glass type, dimensions, quantity, thickness, performance needs, and any special details like shapes, holes, cutouts, or spacer requirements. The more details you share, the faster we can quote it accurately!

How do you make sure each glass unit meets your quality standards?

Accepted Answer

We inspect each unit at least four times during production. We use state-of-the-art equipment, precise cutting, and strict checks to protect quality and consistency.

Can you fabricate custom sizes, shapes, and oversized glass units?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We fabricate custom insulated glass units in standard, unique, and oversized sizes. We handle all shapes and sizes, including complex projects other fabricators may not take on!

Do your insulated glass units meet IGCC CBA standards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our insulating glass units meet the CBA rating established by the Insulating Glass Certification Council. You can count on that standard!
